We were slaves.
Those not born from the pools of our new home have carried, or were supposed to carry, the false goddess' collar.
We, the few snatched into freedom from the pools that would lead to our imprisonment, are the first.
Behind us, more will come.
We shall not take the chains again.

RP Journal for Hammerwave, an OC of an alien species who's spent over 15 000 years enslaved, body and mind, by an evil near-divine being, but have relatively recently started fighting for their freedom. Hammerwave was born free. There were others just in the generation before her that were not, are not, that lucky.
She'll fight to the death to make sure not one them will, at least, be born into slavery anymore.
